As we head into this next calendar year, I’ve decided to take somewhat of a simplified approach to these worksheets, because as I found myself getting more and more stressed by the to do’s I was piling up and the amount of notebooks I had to write things in, I decided that this was an area in which we could scale back, as I’d hate for this to feel like a to do for you.
That we could view less as more, sound ok?
Alright, so the theme for this month is listen (or listening), and the role that that plays on both an internal and external level. But before we dive in, I’d like to share with you a few “guiding words” (if you will) that I’ve chosen to have be at the core of this year.
That help to keep me rooted to my values and centered in what I want to do:
“I am dedicated to loving, trusting, and believing in myself fully this year.”
I have a tendency to be more focused inwards around the change of a year, so the kind of productivity and resetting that I like to do is usually about honing in and scaling back, making sure that I am prioritizing the important stuff. That I am creating room to make the shifts I want to make and drop the habits that no longer serve me.
Not all at once, but over time. The all at once thing has never worked out for me.
So, with all of that said, here are just five short and sweet questions for you to either answer by writing down, or ponder as you watch the content for this week. A way to check in and see if you’ve been listening to your gut. To your intuition.
How do you feel when you are listening to yourself vs. listening to others? How do you feel when you are being heard by others? Do you find that one is harder to do than the other?
What are some of the reasons why you might listen to others over yourself?
Are there areas in which you could take a few steps back, asking yourself, what can I let go of in order to trust and love myself fully?
What are three big accomplishment that you can celebrate from this past year?
And lastly, do you have any guiding words for 2019? How do you hope to feel and show up for yourself, others, and the world around you?
Alright loves, take a look at the “January Week One” page for the content for this week, as well as links to the resources I mention in the video!
I can’t wait to keep living a life more than with you,
